Business Travel Show and Travel Technology Europe acquired by Northstar Travel Group
Centaur Media Travel and Meetings, which owns Business Travel Show, Travel Technology Europe, Business Travel iQ and The Meetings Show, is to be acquired by Northstar Travel Group, with the deal expected to be finalised at the end of April.
“The addition of Centaur’s travel and meetings exhibitions to our global portfolio of 80 events in 13 countries fits perfectly with our strategy to expand our event segment with the UK’s leading portfolio of travel shows,” said Northstar Travel group chairman and CEO Thomas Kemp. “We are excited to add David Chapple and his team of travel event professionals to the Northstar team.”
With the entire Centaur Travel and Meetings team expected to join Northstar at the close, group event director David Chapple added: “The team is so fired up by the news that we will be joining Northstar. Business Travel Show: Europe’s largest corporate travel event with around 9,000 attendees including 200 exhibiting companies and 450 hosted corporate travel buyers. Business Travel Show returns for its 26th outing on 26-27 February 2020 at Olympia London.
Travel Technology Europe: For 17 years, Travel Technology Europe has been bringing together buyers of technology solutions for the travel industry with innovative companies selling software and services to the travel industry. Approximately 5,000 attendees including 300 VIP travel technology buyers participate in Travel Technology Europe each year. It is co-located with Business Travel Show.
