James has over 20 years of travel management and procurement experience. Following 4 years at Amadeus in France and Australia, James joined Airbus in 2005 to transform the T&E landscape of the company, implementing a new OBT and expense management system, transforming the TMC structure and integrating a travel payments solution. From 2009, he extended his procurement scope, ultimately becoming director of Indirect Procurement for Airbus Americas in 2016. James is currently Head of Procurement Performance and Systems at Lufthansa, responsible for driving savings and working capital management in the supply chain across the different airlines and business units of the Group. He is also a doctoral researcher at Munich Business School and Sheffield Hallam University, specialising in decision science in business travel management.
