On the opening day of Business Travel Show Europe, Acai and Nowadays have been crowned winners of this year’s Business Travel Show Europe Innovation Faceoff 2026.
- Acai won the Business Travel Innovator 2026 award
- Nowadays won the People’s Choice 2026 award
The showcase featured engaging presentations from nine entrants detailing how their innovative products, technology solutions and services can solve challenges and/or maximise opportunities currently facing business travel and meetings buyers in Europe.
Acai is an AI platform that automates travel operations for TMCs and travel agencies and was the winner of the co-located TravelTech Show Trailblazer Award in 2025.
Ron Glickman, head of sales, said: “Winning the Trailblazer Award last year changed our business trajectory in ways we didn't fully anticipate. Winning the Business Travel Show Europe Innovation Faceoff this year means what we've built since then, and what we're about to show the industry, has genuinely moved the needle.”
Nowadays is an AI-powered meetings and events platform that automates venue sourcing, negotiations and event management for corporate teams. With a proprietary database of more than 400,000 venues worldwide, Nowadays helps teams save more than 135 hours per meeting, bring unmanaged meetings spend under control and drive 20-30% savings at scale.
The team won the Business Travel Innovator Award and People’s Choice awards at Business Travel Show APAC in April and Business Travel Show America last October.
This year’s judges are:
- Andy Hoskins, Editor-in-Chief, The Beat
- Keesup Choe, CEO, PredictX, last year’s winner
- Benjamin Park, Executive Director Travel & Sustainability, Parexel International
- Carine Morin, Regional Travel Manager, EMEA, ServiceNow
Anna Sun, CEO & co-founder, said: “Our priority over the next year is continuing to deepen our AI capabilities and scale our enterprise customer base. Europe is central to our growth strategy. We were fortunate to win at Business Travel Show America 2025 and APAC 2026 and adding Europe to that feels like real validation from the global business travel community that the industry is genuinely ready for an AI-native approach to meetings and events.”
